Q. Do I always get a 50% savings?
A. Your special member savings average 50% off usual and customary fees, some may be higher and some may be lower.
Q. Am I limited in the number of times I can visit the dentist?
A. Of course not. You may change dentists within the network whenever you wish without any required additional certification or notification.
Q. I have a dental condition for which I have been previously been treated. My insurance company has refused to pay for it. Will the UHP Plan dentists treat my condition with your fee schedule?
A. Certainly! With UHP, there are almost no procedures without a reduction in the usual and customary dental fees.
Q. If I have a lot of work done, are you going to cancel my subscription?
A. Absolutely not! Your UHP subscription can never be canceled by us for the amount of dental work.
Q. Is UHP a form of insurance?
A. No. UHP is a reduced fee for service dental plan and is NOT insurance.
Q. Does UHP work if I already have a dental insurance plan?
A. In many cases it does! UHP works great with certain dental indemnity plans! Just use one of our participating dentists, pay the bill and submit it to your insurance company in the normal fashion. Your net out of pocket cost will be lower because the insurance company should reimburse you their plan allotted percentage based on the reduced fee bill.
Q. What if my child is away at school or I am traveling? Under the family program, can we go to a participating dentist away from home?
A. Definitely. UHP has thousands of participating dentists to choose from nationwide.
